Basha calls for KfW’s support

TIRANA, Sept. 13 – Tirana Mayor Lulzim Basha has asked the German Development Bank, KfW Entwicklungsbank, to focus more on Tirana and in the city’s development projects, especially in the water supply and sewerage and the waste recycling. This was announced on Tuesday in a meeting Basha held with the director of KFW office in Tirana Ute Rodrian. On behalf of the German Government, KfW Entwicklungsbank is supporting the Albanian government in Energy, water supply and sewerage, infrastructure, environment, vocational training education and SMEs. Tirana Mayor Lulzim Basha also received German MP Roderich Kiesevetter discussing the twinning of the Tirana municipality with that of Stuttgart. Last August, German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Niebel visited Albania to reconfirm development support in these areas.
