TIRANA, Feb. 20 – A defect of one of the plane’s engine threatened the life of 108 passengers traveling with Bell Air Wednesday.
Luckily the incident occurred just at the start of the engines before taking off from the Verona airport in Italy bound for Tirana.
Passengers of the MD-80 plane were immediately evacuated and another plane was set to take them to Albania.
An investigation was launched to find the causes of the incident.
Belle Air was established in May 2005 in Tirana, ALBANIA, and from 1 March 2006 begins flights between Albania and Italy as the first low cost airline Albanian.
It operates into 14 destinations from Tirana to Italy, Kosovo, Switzerland and Germany, according to its site.
It also operates charter planes.
