Bell Air was given the “Best Performing New Airline” Award for recording in 2011 the highest passenger traffic numbers, among all newcomers that launched scheduled operations in 2010

TIRANA, March 13 – Leading Tirana-based Belle Air airline company has been selected as the new company with the best performance in an international competition. The company was awarded the prize by the Athens International Airport in an annual airline marketing workshop.
Bell Air was given the “Best Performing New Airline” Award for recording in 2011 the highest passenger traffic numbers, among all newcomers that launched scheduled operations in 2010.
The Athens International Airport’s 12th Airline Marketing Workshop was held on February 29th, at the Athens Megaron. This year’s workshop presented topics such as the adverse 2011 market overview, the re-branding of Athens and Greece, developed by brand strategist Peter Economides, and online travelling, presented by Ilias Sousis, Head of Agencies, Greece and Cyprus, Google Hellas.
The launch of new destinations and as a result its fleet expansion, additional sales points and a reward programs for customer loyalty are some of the priorities Belle Air has set for 2012.
The company says it will continue investing in human resources by hiring young, energetic and qualified people improving both customer service and its national and international image.
According to latest data published by the Tirana International Aikrport (TIA), Belle Air was the airline carrying most passengers to and from Tirana with a 45.8 percent market share in the first nine months of 2011. Currently, 13 airlines fly into and out of TIA connecting Tirana to 30 destinations.
Belle Air was created in May 2005 in Tirana, and from the 1st of March 2006 it launched flights linking Albania to Italy, as the first Albanian low-cost airline company.
