TIRANA, March 9 – The Taxation administration has had better results in reimbursement of the value added tax during 2005-2006, the taxation department said. During the last two years there were reimbursed 4.5 billion leks or $47 million, which is 10% of the VAT collected from the authorities. That is much higher compared to 3-5% reimbursed during 200-2004. some 80 percent of the reimbursement was made for those companies which import good into the country.
