TIRANA, Jan 12-Interior Minister Bujar Nishani headed the inter-ministerial group meeting on the government’s strategy on border management, a key topic in the country’s integration efforts into international institutions.
In the meeting the group discussed the action plan. The minister spoke about the reorganization of the border police and other structural innovations.
The country has also signed a series of agreements and protocols with regional and European police.
The seaside will be another priority in future police work.
Managing borders is a key requirement, especially from the European Union, in which Albania hopes to become a member in the future.
