TIRANA, Jan. 3 – Bosnian media reported that prosecutors in Bosnia-Herzegovina last week had charged 18 people with human trafficking.
The indictment states that the group smuggled ethnic Albanians from Kosovo and neighboring Albania into Western Europe. It says traffickers smuggled migrants in 2008 and first half of 2009 for an undisclosed profit, which they shared.
Among the suspects were 15 Bosnian nationals, three Croatians, two Serbians and one Slovenian.
