Charged with Edward Craythorne’s murder are Mario Pjetrushi, 18, and Arlind Vukaj, 19, who were frequent visitors to Craythorne’s family home in Shengjin where his mother Eileen and sister Sophia lived.
Police report that on February 2 the teens lured Craythorne into a black Mercedes with the promise of marijuana. He was then driven to the remote village of Mal and beaten to death. His body was found February 20. Police discovered the teens had taken the key’s to Craythorne’s home and his gold chain. Craythorne’s funeral, held earlier this week, was attended by hundreds of local residents in the northern town of Lezha.
President Bamir Topi sent a letter of condolences to his family, also pledging justice would be harsh in judging the alleged murderers.
