Brutal murders shock Albanians

TIRANA, July 26 – Albanians have been shocked during the last few days by strange murders inside families.
In northern Shkodra city last weekend a father killed his wife and his 18-year old daughter. After he committed the crime, he called his two sons telling them of the horrible crime he had committed. Pjeter Polli could not believe what he had done. Following that he called police to tell of his crime. Still unclear but it is very likely he killed wife for jealousy and his daughter by mistake.
In Fier city in western Albania the son and his mother killed their 48-year old dad/ex-husband Ylli Zeqo. They had divorced a year ago. The man was shot dead with a knife last Friday. It is very much likely the crime was committed following a quarrel on his obligation to support the family after divorce.
