TIRANA, Feb. 10 – Konfindustria, a business group in Albania, expressed its concern over the significant increase of the prices of different products following the same trend in the international market.
The group sent a letter to the government asking it to undertake the required steps to soften such trends.
They said the price hike was caused by the recent increase of the raw material products in the world market.
The group asked the government to lift the value-added tax for the flour until the new crops come out. Flour price has had a significant rise lately. The same demand was made for the electricity supply to businesses and also for many basic food products affected by that.
