Businesses seek better customs management

TIRANA, Jan 12 – Albanian businesses have requested the government to significantly improve the operation of customs at the country’s borders, especially with neighboring countries Kosova, Montenegro and Macedonia.
Konfindustria, an association of Albanian businesses, called on the government to create joint customs operations with neighboring countries starting with Kosova. They also asked for the quickening of procedures in direct commercial exchanges between neighboring countries.
They further urged the creation of the Open Albanian market of some seven million Albanians living in the Balkans.
