TIRANA, July 22؆oreign financial groups that are part of the Albanian banking system have reflected stable financial indicators regarding their performance in 2008, despite the world wide financial collapse suffered last year. Their financial results were made public by a Bank of Albania report.
Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG, part of the RZB Group, ended 2008 with a net profit of 982 million euro, an increase of 16.7% compared to 2007.
Intesa Sanpaolo (Italy) ended 2008 with a net consolidated profit of 3.9 billion euro, reporting a drop of 10% from its net profit in 2007. Its expenses/income balance amounted to 54.7%, an increase of 6 points from 2007, signaling a drop in efficiency.
Piraeus Bank (Greece) recorded a net profit of 315 million euro in 2008, a drop of 37% from the 503 million euro net profit in 2007.
