TIRANA, Sept. 27 – The non-governmental civil organization Civic Action convened some 200 intellectuals from different spheres to debate on the government efforts to rein on anything in the country. The joint opinion from participants was that the government is undermining the fundamental values of the society by directly attacking democracy. The Civic Action, the movement that organized the meeting, called on the people to join the protest Friday in front of the ministry of telecommunication to protest the Albatrosgate case, a friction between the central government and the president of the republic which allegedly resulted in the suspension of the work of the flight company Albatros.
