Coal, generator, butane gas kill and injure in Albania

GJIROKASTRA, Jan. 3 – A couple was founded dead at their house in the village of Llogo, some 25 kilometers from the southern town of Gjirokastra, police reported Wednesday. Mihal and Kristina Gjergo, 50 and 47 years old respectively, are believed to have died from the coal they used to heat. The couple was found by Kristina’s mother. In another incident Prend Prendi, 78, was asphyxiated Tuesday from the gases released from the generator working to supply electricity to the Prendi house in northern Dajc village, Lezha district. Three other family members were in serious health conditions but not life threatening. They had put the generator inside the house.
