CoE to check work on anti-trafficking

STRASBOURG, Dec 4 – The first meeting of the Committee of the Parties of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, to be held in Strasbourg on 5 and 8 December, will elect the experts who will monitor whether states meet their treaty obligations.
The Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) will regularly publish reports evaluating measures taken by states to apply the convention.
Albania is one of the 19 countries that have already ratified the convention which came into force Feb. 1 this year.
