TIRANA, May 10 – Kastriot Myftaraj, a controversial author and conspiracy theorist, has spent the night under arrest after publishing an article in which he appeared to call for the assassination of the EU ambassador in Albania, Romana Vlahutin. He was freed after prosecutors decided not to press charges, but not before his arrest sparked a national debate over media ethics and freedom of speech.
