Corrupted policemen arrested in Korca

KORCA, Jan. 13 – Police said Saturday they had arrested Pal Prenga, 45, who worked as a police officer at the Korca district court, for being corrupted. He had pledged to release a person from arrest and get paid $10,000. When arrested he was found with $4,000 that had just been given to him. Gjergj Sokoli, a police officer in Korca as well, was also arrested for getting involved in the above-mentioned bribery and collaboration with Prenga.
