Damage from the recent quakes in Himara

HIMARA, Sept. 3 – The consequences of the recent quakes Aug. 6 and 8 in the Riviera shores of Himara and Lumi i Vlores have cause some 7.25 million leks of damage, according to Prefect Kreshnik Alimerko. The quakes caused damage to 59 houses in Pilur village, 47 houses in Kudh쳠and 20 houses in Hor롖ranishti. There are damaged houses in some other villages in the area but smaller ones, officials said. Two weeks ago Mayor of Himara Vasil Bollano said the earthquakes had caused some 15 million leks of damage. During the last five weeks the area has been shaken often by small quakes that have caused only minor damage but no victims.
