TIRANA, June 9 – Defense Minister Arben Imami made a visit to the United States where he talked with officials on the NATO transformation strategy.
Albania became a NATO member in April 2009.
Imami visited the NATO Command in Virginia, which is also in charge or assisting Albania along its transformation efforts for the army.
Albania is making a total reform of the army organization, its intelligence service and other issues.
The country is part of the NATO peacekeeping forces in Afghanistan and Bosnia.
