TIRANA, Oct. 18 – Petro Koci of the Socialists said that in a matter of days his party would present to the parliament a draft of a law concerning how to open the files of the former communist secret police Sigurimi. Koci said they had planned to open the files only of politicians and top public officials. The issue became public recently causing much heated debates among the two political groupings accusing each other of being former agents of the secret police during the communist regime.
