Elections are approaching in Albania and the time is ripe for a portfolio of new ideas about the process that is being discussed in the media and is yielding various interpretations in the public debate. The tormenting issue of electronic voting and counting made once again a fleeting appearance to be dismissed and rightly so for lack of time, lack of awareness in population and lack of pioneer testing, required for all kind of large scale experiments. All these reasons would not be valid three years ago when several civil society organizations and international experts made their first proposals. But…
