ELBASAN, March.18- more than 100 request have been presented to the authorities in the district of Elbasan concerning the construction and concession of small hydropower plants. A majority of these projects plan to produce three times more energy that the one need for internal consumption. The main rivers in this area that can be used for this purpose are Shkumbin and Devoll. Recently an Italian group of investors called “Carralio Group’ has taken the license to start a 250 million euro on Shkumbin.
