Energy efficiency information centre set up

TIRANA, Feb. 3 – An energy efficiency information centre has opened at the National Agency for Natural Resources to raise awareness on the need of efficient use of energy and the latest techniques applied in construction to save energy. The information centre, inaugurated this week, was set under a Euro 15,000 project funded by the German government through GIZ.
“The concept of energy efficiency in Germany has proved very beneficial, for citizens, the city, the environment and investors. The improvement of energy efficiency will also have its positive indicators even in Albania and this centre is the first step in this direction,” said deputy German Ambassador to Tirana Erik Tintrup in the launch ceremony, accompanied by Albanian Energy Minister Damian Gjiknuri.
