TIRANA, May.9- Aldata, a leading provider of software solutions for the retail industry, today announced that its Aldata G.O.L.D. Core Retail Supply Chain Suite has been successfully deployed in just three months by EUROMAX, one of the leading retailers in Albania and part of the Mane TCI group. Chicago Wire business magazine reported the news that using the Aldata G.O.L.D. Rapid Implementation (RI) Toolkit, with its auto-configuring questionnaires, data conversion tools, project management tools and techniques, EUROMAX was able to realize the benefits of the Aldata Core Retail Supply Chain Suite quickly with the lowest possible risk. The original agreement between Aldata and EUROMAX was signed in December 2006 and the implementation project started in January 2007. Phase 1, consisting of business modeling and business rule definitions, was completed in one month with the subsequent Phase 2, the system implementation itself, being completed over the next two months.
“The successful and rapid implementation of the Aldata Core Retail Supply Chain Suite for EUROMAX is proof of Aldata’s comprehensive retail and technology expertise,” said Neil Thall, CEO of Aldata. “Furthermore, it strengthens our market credibility in being one of the very few retail software vendors who is able not only to provide a complete and core retail solution but who can rapidly implement and deliver the solution into production in such short timescales.”
The Aldata rapid implementation also enabled EUROMAX to centralize business management and reorganize business processes including procurement, sales and product service. EUROMAX has a product range of more than 30,000 products from 1,500 suppliers and has plans to open 20 additional stores and a warehouse in the next twelve months.
Aldata G.O.L.D./RI is a comprehensive supply chain solution designed specifically for mid-tier retailers that can be implemented in just a few months. Its flexible design has numerous features tailored specifically for the needs of grocery, drug and convenience store supply chains, including tools for managing suppliers, centralized procurement, automated replenishment and store operations. Most companies use a multitude of databases to manage the information in their supply chain, which can add unnecessary complexity to deployment and maintenance and lead to increased costs and overhead. G.O.L.D./RI utilizes a single, centralized database designed specifically for retailers’ informational needs, easily managing items, assortments and the high transaction volumes inherent in the retail industry. Other functionality includes master data, replenishment and ordering, perpetual inventory, sales and promotion support, profit and margin analysis by product, and distribution.
