TIRANA, Feb. 28 – Shkelzim Qosaj, 33, was extradited last week from the United States to serve his 20 years imprisonment in his homeland.
Qosaj, from Berdice village, Shkodra district, was sentenced in 2000 from the Shkodra district court for murder.
In 1998 he shot dead Zef Preka following a dispute. Qosaj had relations with the dead man’s sister which were likely not approved of by her family.
In another case Astrit Lika, 33, was also extradited but from nearby Italy.
Lika was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment from the Kurbin district court, also for murder, after shooting Gezim Lleshi dead in 2008.
