Extraditions from Belgium, Italy, Britain

TIRANA, Feb. 22 – Police reported they have extradited last week from Belgium Gezim Halitaj, 42 who had been declared at large and an international arrest warrant was issued.
Kruja district court had sentenced him to 25 years imprisonment for a murder. In 1992 he had shot dead two persons after a quarrel.
He was arrested in Aalst, Belgium last November.
Gezim Muji, 36, was extradited from Italy. In 2008 the Shkodra district court had issued an arrest warrant on him for murder. In 2001 he shot dead with a pistol a person for revenge. Muji was arrested in Rome, Italy in May 2009.
Laaurent Cakollari, 35, was extradited from Britain. An arrest warrant was issued for him in 2003 for murder and illegal weapon possession. He was arrested in London in December 2009.
