TIRANA, April 5 – The opposition Socialist Party accused the government of throwing illegal money into the market that will be used to pay voters for the May 8 local elections.
Responding to that, police denied that saying they had not noted any case and have had no news on that from the banks in the country. Police continued to insist that fighting illegal money is always a focusing point for their work in fighting illegal criminal activity. They also urged everybody to denounce that.
But, beyond the political agenda exploiting that phenomenon, police reported the arrest of a 24-year old person was arrested in Durres after he was found with five false 1,000 lek banknotes.
