Nov 08 — An Italian-Albanian company, Fassa-Berberi, has begun work on the construction of a cement factory, for a cost of 250 million euros, in Lezha, north Albania.
The new facility will produce 3000 tons of cement per day and will – according to the Informest site – provide 250 steady jobs.
According to estimates, the total value of the investment projects announced in the sector is around 845 million euros, and involves companies like Titan, Italcementi, Gener 2, Fassa&Berberi and Aricam.
The Albanian premier, Sali Berisha, has declared that the project is an example of the favourable investment conditions in the country.
