TIRANA, Jan. 28 – The Football Federation applied harsh sentencing to the Tirana football club and some of its players following a quarrel with the league head Dinamo last weekend.
Dinamo won the match 2-1 further solidifying its lead on the league, following with some 15 points from Besa Kavaja.
The match was full of violent skirmishes between two rival footballers ending with physical attacks on each other.
Other acts of violence had occurred to a Flamurtari Vlora vs. Besa Kavaja and also at a match in Korca’s Skenderbeu.
Football officials said they would impose harsh punishment on further violent acts and players saying that the recent acts had greatly damaged fair play in the country’s game.
Violence in the pitch has turned into a serious problem during the last weeks.
