Former CEC chairman moves to parliament advisory role

TIRANA, Jan. 12 – Former chairperson of Albania’s Central Election Commission, Lefterie Luzi has been appointed director of the Parliamentary Committees Services in the parliament. Luzi was reinstated to the public administration after failing to get a second mandate as the chairperson of the elections commission last year. Luzi received support from Socialist Party and Socialist Movement for Integration in running for a second mandate, however representatives of the Democratic Party voted against her reappointment and in favor of the new chairman of the Commission, Denar Biba.
