Forum on EU integration held in Tirana

TIRANA, June 1 – A forum titled “Albania towards EU – the opening of the border for the free movement of people and goods,” was organized in Tirana last week with the participation of journalists, editors, government and civil society representatives.
Some of the topics discussed during this forum included border security and free movement of people and goods, media and European integration, education according to EU standards, media deontology in reporting EU, etc.
Speakers included Lulzim Basha, Minister of Interior Affairs, Maryse Daviet, French Ambassador to Albania, Artur Zheji, head of Albanian Telegraphic Agency, Valentina Duka, Deputy Dean of the History and Philology Faculty, Mark Marku, deputy chair of the Parliamentary Media Commission, Rrapo Zguri, designer of the blog on European Integration, and Nicholas Miletitch, senior AFP journalist. The forum was organized by AFP Foundation, France Cooperation Internationale, and University of Tirana, with the support of EU.
