TIRANA, Oct 5 – The three defendants of the Gerdec March 15 blast, which killed 26 and injured 300 people, will stay up to one year in prison waiting to be taken to the trial.
Ylli Pinari of the Defense Ministry’s Meico export-import company, AlbDemil owner Mihal Delijorgji and his manager Dritan Minxolli were ordered to stay in prison from a Tirana court.
Prosecutors needed to prolong their arrest status after they were charged with mass murder that may sentence them up to life imprisonment if proved.
The three defendants were not present during the court’s decision on their status, represented from their lawyers.
