German media giant interested in Albania’s media market

TIRANA, Jan. 16 – An Albanian newspaper wrote Wednesday that the German WAZ Medien Gruppe was looking to buy shares and enter Albania’s television market.

A spokesperson for the German media group confirmed to Deutsche Welle Tuesday the group’s interest in the Albanian market.

Tema newspaper reported that the group so far holds close to 50 to 80 percent shares in the printed press markets in the countries of Eastern Europe.
