Government avoids the stock market

TIRANA, Feb.18 -The approval of the draft law “on titles” will not open the way for the functioning of a stock exchange of Tirana. Economic experts view the draft law skeptically since it will not automatically activate the stock exchange. According to the former director of the Tirana stock exchange, the government should utilize treasury bills and bonds for the activation of a stock exchange. Another approach could also be the inclusion of state assets under privatization.
