TIRANA, Jan. 12 – Nearly 30,000 families all over Albania that have purchased their homes in buildings constructed in violation of the construction permits will finally be able to receive their mortgage titles, the government has decided, in a move widely seen as an effort to gain more votes ahead of general elections later this year. The Council of Ministers approved a decision to allow the legalization of illegal exterior additions to 1,320 of mostly apartment buildings nationwide.
