TIRANA, Nov 10 – The Institute of Statistics said that in September there was an increase of exports and, also, imports.
There were 10,562 mln leks of commodities exported, with an increase of 36.4 percent compared to August and 27 percent compared to one year ago.
There were 36,425 mln leks of commodities imported with an increase of 2.5 percent compared to August and 6.9 percent compared to one year ago.
The September trade deficit was 25,863 mln leks, seven percent less than August and 0.4 percent more than a year ago.
Trade with EU countries accounted for 66.7 percent of the total and the country’s main trading partners were Italy and Greece.
