TIRANA, Sep. 4 – The President of Honduras, Porfirio Lobo Sosa, made a visit to Tirana following his trip to neighboring Kosovo.
In Tirana, Sosa met with his host counterpart Bamir Topi, Prime Minister Sali Berisha and also Parliament Speaker Jozefina Topalli.
The main topic of the talks was Kosovo.
Honduras has recognized Kosovo and Sosa also pledged further lobbying for more recognition in the Latin American continent.
During the talks Sosa and his Albanian hosts also praised the good relations with Albania and pledged new efforts to promote cooperation between the two countries.
Topi suggested that in order to strengthen bilateral relations between these two states, it would be necessary to open diplomatic consulates in both countries.
