TIRANA, Nov. 24 – Police chief Bajram Ibraj took part in a meeting of police heads organized by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting focused on discussing the increased impact of organized crime on both individuals and society and on strengthening international cooperation in the fight against it. All participants stressed the need to exchange information on criminal organizations. Special attention was paid to modern ways of exchanging information through the online program prepared by the OSCE. Europol said it had prepared an analysis that would help such cooperation. The report is to be published in early 2007. During the conference, Ibraj met with many counterparts in an effort to increase links with them.
