JALE, VLORA, April 19 – Up to 40 illegal constructions, houses and bars, were pulled down by construction police in Jale this week following minor clashes of their owners. Construction police was reinforced with other troops after residents in the southwestern commune strongly protested against the decision saying they had made documents to legalize them. Construction police said they would destroy all buildings near the seaside not only at that commune but also elsewhere in the country. During their work police were hampered by the local residents seeing their life savings go away in minutes. The act was also opposed by the local mayor Bollano of the Human Rights Union Party saying that many of the houses were in court expecting its verdict, that is, construction police was not entitled to act until then.
