TIRANA, May 28 – Prosecutor General has asked the parliament to lift the immunity of lawmaker Hajrulla Paturri accused of using violence against a soccer referee some weeks ago.
Paturri was involved in an incident in the field in Fushe Kruja where he hit referee Shkelqim Guce, a fact that the lawmaker acknowledged saying that was because of bad tempers.
He also asked for pardon and on Wednesday he said they had also a coffee together, a reconciliation act according to the local tradition.
The request is first considered by the parliament’s Council of Mandates and Immunity and then passed to the session if agreed. (Tirana Times Staff)
