TIRANA, Nov. 8 – The Interior Ministry reported last weekend that it had disciplined 46 police officers in relation to inefficient 129 responses.
They were disciplined for not being correct and efficient in the responses to the calls from the people in need.
Unofficially, it has been learned that in a test Prime Minister Edi Rama found a very unsatisfactory response from a call he was making a weekend during a trip to southern Albania.
The ministry said that the proper measures were taken for all the police officers at the 129 offices countrywide. They were accused of not applying the methodology they had been trained for to respond to the calls. They were all punished with an official warning.
In Albania, 129 is the police emergency number, akin to 112 in the EU and 911 in North America.
