Investigation of abuse of power by tourism ministry official ends

TIRANA, Oct. 3 – The Prosecutor General’s office reported Tuesday they had completed the investigation process of the ex-head of tourism ministry department Arben Golemi and ex-head of Golemi commune Demir Lika accused of abuse of post and public funds. The two accused persons have been under arrest since June. They were first accused of bribery and that was increased to a higher level charge, considered as active corruption. Prosecutor sources said Lika had created illegal facilities for certain companies to easily and illegally profit from the sale of land along the seaside and was in collaboration with Golemi
