TIRANA, Jan. 7 – Italian police rescued a young Albanian man, who was travelling by boat with 350 kilograms of marijuana. The young Albanian was found in a helpless condition, suffering of a critical phase of hyperthermia, some 300 meters into the sea, close to the village of San Cataldo, Bari.
The alleged 21-year-old smuggler called the police in Bari himself for help.
Italy and neighboring Greece are the main target of Albanian smugglers trafficking marijuana toward the EU countries.
