TIRANA – Italian ambassador in Tirana Massimo Gaiani repeated two times in the last days that he was optimistic Albania would get the candidate status. He said those words at an event in Fier and also Monday at the reception on his country’s day.
“Italy will continue to support Albania”, said Gaiani.
Italy has been among the strongest supporters for the tiny western Balkan country’s efforts in the European integration. Italy is Albania’s main trading partner and also among the few top countries with investment there.
