Japanese grant rehabilitates rural school

TIRANA, March 19 – Japan has agreed to give a grant of 60,000 euros to rehabilitate a rural school, “Matosh Uka,” in Fierza commune in the north.

That is part of the general assistance Japan has given on promoting human security and support small-scale projects directly benefiting the grassroots level as well as contributing to the socio-economic development of Albania, the country’s embassy said in a statement.

Since 1998, Japan has made 21 different grassroots projects, among them 15 are the rehabilitation or construction of the primary schools. In total they have given some 153 million yen (about $1 million dollars).
