Judge with removed immunity to be probed on corruption

TIRANA, June 22 – The High Council of Justice, the top executive of the court system in the country, lifted the immunity of a judge and opened the way for an investgiation from the prosecutor’s office.
The judge is being questioned by prosecutors about the period during which he worked as a private lawyer.
How or why he was nominated to his current position as a judge remains unclear. The reasons behind the current investigation are also unknown.
