TIRANA, Dec. 2 – Justice Minister Aldo Bumci wants his predecessor Fatmir Xhafaj of the Socialist party and other former senior officials be prosecuted for abuse of post despite the fact that Tirana prosecutor office had cancelled a former process. Bumci accused them of abusing with public funds and investment to a total amount of 38 million leks that would be used to renovate prisons. The minister said they had found a series of irregularities in the documentation of the procurement process and then the company supposed to make the work. The ministry asked prosecutor office to relaunch the investigation.
