Tirana, May 16, 2008. Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) is going to co-operate with Italian Veneto Distribuzione for the production of clean energy. The project is supported by the European Union as part of the INTEREG-III program. The goal of the project is to produce electricity out of renewable energy resources.
Therefore, on Friday, in Durr촩, it was organised a workshop, in which it was presented the project “CLE-EN” (Clean energy). According to the CEO of the Albanian Power Corporation, Gjergji Bojaxhi, “the project aims to study the energy deficit in Albania and the possibilities to use the potentials of alternative energy resources, in order to fill the deficit”.
In the workshop, the Albanian and Italian specialists debated a number of alternatives for the production of electricity, like solar energy, wind energy, etc. (Tirana Times Staff)
