Local officials arrested on corruption charges

LEZHA, Oct. 6 – Two local officials in the northern district of Lezha were arrested and accused of abuse of post and corruption.
The head of the Ishull Shengjin commune, Nikol Prela, and an ex-employee of the Lezha archive department, Tonin Plokaj, were both arrested for corruption and the latter also for falsifying documentation on property ownership.
Some time ago five officials were arrested at the same area for causing a financial damage and falsifying documentation.
