Switzerland, Aug 18 – Manas Petroleum Corp. said it had launched a ‘seismic acquisition’ in Albania through its wholly owned subsidiary DWM Petroleum AG.
That will be the first part of a 600 KM 2-D seismic program in Albania.
The seismic crew from the Geological Institute of Israel (GII) has sent five vibrators to Albania and set up a camp close to Tirana.
The seismic crews will use their equipment to seek the location of eight identified prospects for drilling oil with a 3 BBls of oil potential.
Updates of the seismic program will be regularly released on Manas` website.
In Albania, Manas has already developed a giant exploration project with a total resource potential of 2.9 billion barrels. (Tirana Times Staff)
