TIRANA, Jan 14 – Vangjel Dule, head of the Human Rights Union Party of the ethnic Greek minority in the country, said that his political party would likely run alone in the next general elections.
Dule said that the party may enter coalitions after the elections, the same move it has also made in the last general polls.
The HRUP has been part of the governing coalition in the last four years and also during the leftist coalition government until 2005.
Dule’s words run counter to those of Omonia, the organization of the ethnic Greek minority, that has often been extremist and has recommended boycotting the next elections following the recent changes in the electoral code.
